The 2022 Domaine Remi Jobard, Monthelie 1er Cru "Les Vignes Rondes" was a Merchant's Pick
Premier Cru Prize • Rare & Limited!

Monthelie, the village you may never have heard of, is one of the most underrated red Burgundy wine regions.
There, only two winemakers in the world make wine from the Les Vignes Rondes premier cru parcel.
In fact, this tiny vineyard is a mere .67 hectares and is 1 of only 9 premier cru vineyards in the village.
Immediately west of Volnay and Pommard, Jobard may be a Meursault master, but this rare red Burgundy is among his most delectable!
From whole cluster fermentation, a rustic texture ripples through the fresh-picked red cherry, cassis, rose petal, cedar, forest floor, crushed earth, mushroom, and a dash of spice. It is wonderfully light on its feet! The wine rolls effortlessly over the palate with great concentration and length. A terrific contrast exists between texture and flavors.
Known for producing elegant and regal Meursaults, Jobard has made an equally stunning red Burgundy with this release. An added bonus - the wine happens to be certified organic.
Enjoy now and over the next 10 years.
Cheers!
