Marchesi Antinori

The Antinori's Estates capture the essence Tuscany and the unmistakable character of Tuscan terroir. From Tenuta Tignanello to Guado al Tasso to Villa Antinori to Badia a Passignano to Castello della Sala, the Antinori wines are among the most sought after wines from Italy.

Antinori

The Antinori family has been making wine for over six centuries since 1385. They were among the first Tuscan wine producers to create reds commonly referred to today as Super Tuscans, wines that do not conform to traditional Tuscan DOC and DOCG regulations. Antinori's Tignanello, Guado al Tasso, and flagship wine, Solaia, are their most recognized Italian reds; their Italian white, Cervaro della Sala Chardonnay, is among Italy's finest white wines. With each vintage, the Antinori family showcases the unique terroir of their various estates spread among Tuscany’s rolling hills and vineyards.

Tuscany, Italy

Antinori wines are rooted in the heart of Tuscany, one of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions where Sangiovese is king. Tuscany is home to iconic wines such as Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Super Tuscans, which thrive in the area's unique terroir. The region also produces exceptional Chardonnays. Nestled among sun-drenched hills, ancient olive groves, and historic estates, Tuscany’s vineyards benefit from the region's diverse terroir, characterized by a combination of clay, limestone, and sandy soils, along with a Mediterranean climate, all of which provide ideal conditions for viticulture.

Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot

Tuscany is home to classic Italian varietals such as Sangiovese and internationally acclaimed grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Sangiovese varietal, Tuscany’s signature grape, brings bright red fruit flavors, vibrant acidity, and a touch of earthiness. The addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot add depth, structure, and a rich complexity to their Super Tuscan blends. Each varietal is carefully selected and masterfully blended to create wines that embody balance, elegance, and the distinctive character of Tuscan terroir. Even popular Tuscan whites, such as Chardonnay and Vermentivo, rival some of the finest whites in the wine world with their elegance and vibrancy.
