2021 Antinori, Cervaro della Sala, Chardonnay

James Suckling has described Cervaro della Sala as the "Batard-Montrachet of Italy with its amazing depth and compression of beautiful fruit and chalk."

This release, the 2021 Cervaro della Sala, is particularly stunning!

Tignanello may be Antinori's most recognized wine, but Cervaro della Sala may be their most allocated.

When you factor in the constant price increases out of France,  Cervaro della Sala is more attractive as a great alternative to many white Burgundies.

The 2021 Cervaro della Sala is sensational and one of the best releases from this prized estate.  Finesse and elegance.  It is exceptionally crisp, showcasing stone fruit, Bosc pear, green apple, lemon zest, blanched almond, and a hint of saline.  This remarkable white has a chalky, rustic undertone highlighting the Umbrian terroir.

Why We Love Antinori's Cervaro Chardonnay Year After Year

The estate's clay soil in Umbria is rich in fossil shells, which gives Cervaro its balance of weight and minerality.  A muscular wine, it balances with elegance.  The fruit is graceful with welcome notes of vibrancy.

From seafood to rich pasta dishes, you cannot go wrong.  Among our suggestions:  roasted chicken with scalloped potatoes, risotto, and mushroom ravioli tossed in a sage brown butter sauce.

The list is endless!

Delicious!!!
