The Moment Discovered Becomes Unobtainable!
Savvy collectors are quietly building positions in what may be the most intriguing Pinot story of the decade.
Grab yours while you can - this wine is extremely limited!
For years, Bertrand de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti has been quietly producing "Composition," a domestic Pinot Noir made exclusively for Michelin Star restaurants. Pretty soon, this Willamette Valley Pinot will be unavailable.
This is the moment between discovered and unobtainable.
Repeat, grab yours while you can!
Burgundian in style, Composition showcases dark cherry and freshly-picked strawberry on entry. Hints of date and fig run through the palate. The wine is framed with terrific dusty and textured tannins. An earthy, woodsy, even meaty finish is followed by pink pepper and dried spice, which balances the fruit. The finish is endless and the acidity refreshes the palate. A few minutes in the glass and the wine evolves to a super-velvety, silky Pinot.
Why It's Behaving Like A Collectible Burgundy
Like good red Burgundies, Composition's price increases with every vintage. Early adopters who secured the first releases are already seeing appreciation.
- The Terroir Parallel: Pommard clones sourced from Winter's Hill Vineyard adjacent to Domaine Serene. The breezy cool nights mirror summers in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy—creating that signature tension and complexity.
- The Allocation Reality: Originally reserved for Michelin Star restaurants only, limited bottles are now available to collectors. Once this allocation is gone, the next vintage may not come at all.
A few minutes in the glass and the wine evolves to a super-velvety, silky Pinot.
Like good red Burgundies, Composition is a food wine—think salmon, lean meats, and roasted chicken.
This is Oregon's best-kept secret.
Extremely limited quantities.
