A rarified wine. Freshly picked red and black currants and black cherries lead the charge, seamlessly layered with Earl Grey tea, dried rosemary, and herbs de Provence. Violet flowers and cinnamon wrap the aromatic core, creating an intricate, evolving bouquet.

On the palate, the wine is poised and harmonious, revealing additional notes of plum, dark cocoa, and freshly ground espresso. Accents of black olive and anise add savory depth, while vibrant acidity carries through a long, precise finish. What struck us most about this majestic claret was its signature profile—one we’ve seen repeat itself over the years: garrigue, tilled soil, and cedar chest, layered with hints of tobacco and dried Provençal herbs.

We’ve enjoyed many Bordeaux—at considerably higher price points, we might add—that do not command this level of nuance, depth, and balance. In fact, this red is more Bordeaux-like than many Bordeaux being made today.
