The 2022 Domaine Pierre Boisson En Buzigny Coteaux Bourguignons is one of those fleeting opportunities that will be gone before you blink.
Boisson's En Buzigny is 100% Meursault, the finest Meursault we have enjoyed all year. Dare we say, it is the finest white Burgundy we have enjoyed all year.
At $35 it is a more than a bargain and more than a steal. It is an irresistible opportunity.
Order first, and ask questions later!
Pierre’s En Buzigny is a small parcel recently re-planted in the En Buzigny lieu-dit (vineyard) within Meursault. Pierre plans to bottle this wine as a single vineyard Meursault (putting the prestigious Meursault region on the label) when the vines mature a bit more. With the youth of the vines, a decision was made to declassify this inaugural harvest and bottle this ABSOLUTELY STUNNING Chardonnay as a Bourgogne Blanc - for the time being.
Pierre and team underestimated what's inside the bottle.
Kudos to the Boisson team as you cannot tell that these are young vines. The wine has gorgeous acidity and depth. Wonderful texture. A medium frame, the fruit glides across the palate effortlessly. The fruit is pristine and mouthwatering.
A bright and lively attack of fresh pear and crisp green apple are followed by hints of lemon zest. The wine is elegantly balanced, with a pronounced mineral backbone and a streak of saline freshness. Nuances of almonds, white flowers, and a whisper of vanilla bean emerge. A silky texture and well-integrated acidity lend structure and precision. The finish - oh, the finish: It lasts for minutes and leaves a refreshing impression of citrus peel and crushed stones.
Instead of paying $150-$300 per bottle like Boisson’s other Meursaults, you can get this wine at the bargain price of $35 per bottle!
Don’t miss this tremendous opportunity to enjoy the most delightful wine to come out of Burgundy this year. We have 20 cases available, and that is all we will receive for this outstanding 2022 vintage.
We cannot imagine Boisson will continue declassifying this vineyard as Coteaux Bourguignons (the "hills of Burgundy") for long. This will most certainly be bottled as a Meursault in the coming harvests.
Don’t be surprised if you see this being poured at Le Bernardin, Jean-Georges, Daniel or Le Jardin in the very near future…
First come, first served.
Enjoy!
