The 2023 Domaine de Triennes, Rosé Provence was a Merchant's Pick
Best Rosé Under $20!
June 21, 2024
We are often asked, "What's your best rosé under $20?"
The answer - Domaine de Triennes!
This gorgeous rosé is made by two of Burgundy's greatest names: Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, co-owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Over the years, they have transformed this stunning 46-hectare site into one of the top wine estates in Southern France.
Many wonder why two of the best Burgundy producers started a joint venture in Provence.
They made an everyday wine for themselves!
"Orange zest, persimmon, red berries, and a subtle floral nuance on the fragrant nose. Concentrated but lithe and seemingly weightless, offering tangy red currant, strawberry and blood orange flavors that pick up a spicy nuance on the back half. Finishes brisk and tight, with repeating spiciness and a sneaky floral quality. This wine has the depth of flavor to handle full-flavored foods, but there’s no excess fat here, either. A solid value." Vinous
Light pink in color, we love this wine for its depth and vibrancy. It is dry, refreshing, bright, and retains enough of the red wine properties to pair with a variety of cuisine.
A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Merlot, the grapes are harvested at night to ensure cool temperature at the winery arrival; they are immediately pressed within hours to preserve the fruit's vibrancy. An added bonus - the wine is organic and sustainably farmed.
Pair this go-to rosé with French roasted chicken, grilled salmon, salads, crudités, charcuterie, or when you simply want a glass to sip and enjoy. Even burgers will go nicely with this south of France stunner.
Enjoy!
