Domaine Jean-Vincent Dauvissat Pere et Fils is a gorgeous Chablis produced in such small quantities that it is only found in a handful of New York's French bistros.

The label tells it all:  Immediately below the 1er Cru Chablis ridge of Cote de Lechet is the Mont-Main and Sourdelle Chablis vineyards of Jean Dauvissat.

The Mont-Main Sourdelle lieu-dit (vineyard) has a terroir similar to that of its immediate 1er Cru neighbor.   A gorgeous crisp Chablis, the wine offers lift and vibrancy with primal notes of fresh grapefruit and lemon zest.  The left bank exposure offers exquisite fruit supported by a clean, sleek finish.  Additional accents of sea shells and a chalky finish make this single vineyard Chablis one of the finest we've tasted in the vintage - a great vintage.  An added bonus, the wine is farmed organically and biodynamically. 

While no relation to Vincent Dauvissat, the quality of Domaine Jean Dauvissat is undeniable.

You can enjoy this delicious Chardonnay with your favorite piece of fish, like grilled salmon, or simply with a crisp salad.

Don't be afraid to enjoy this Chablis on the warmer side of cold, as great whites showcase well when served slightly warmer.
