Thomas River Brown is the hottest winemaker in Napa Valley.  In addition to his own wines, Outpost and Rivers Marie, Brown is the consulting winemaker for over twenty notable wineries (i.e., Turley, Schrader, Gemstone, and Maybach, to name a few). 

Since 2000 when he began making wines, Brown has received twenty-five 100 point reviews between Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate.

Boasting bold aromas of blackberry, cobbler, cracked pepper, huckleberry, and smoky flavors, this energetic Zinfandel wields ripe, textured tannins, which merge with notes of sage and cassis.  A touch of spice and mild, toasty vanilla appear on a finish the never ends.  Extremely balanced, it has an irresistible earthy and dusty finish that begs it to be enjoyed with food. 

Over the years, Outpost has been likened to Turley and Martinelli.  Words such as sexy, polished, and wild are often used in tasting notes.  That's the beauty of this Zinfandel; it's multifaceted and offers something for everyone.
