You are going to flip for Feudo Montoni's Sicilian white, Grillo.
A perennial favorite of ours and featured by us over the years, the Feudo Montoni Grillo was on the list of Wine Spectator's "Amazing Italian White Wine Values" and just landed the Wines For Thanksgiving list by the New York Times.
Timpa means "strong slope." At nearly 70% incline, the terroir offers outstanding water drainage.
And, at 600 feet above sea level, these vineyards produce a stunning Sicilian white that is crisp, refreshing, and mineral driven - not jammy like many Sicilian wines that endure intense heat.
A bright, tangy white, offering a fragrant range of orange and lime blossoms, blood orange and pink grapefruit zest, and poached quince and apricot. This is lightly lip-smacking and hard to stop sipping, with a snappy, mineral-driven finish. Drink now through 2027." Wine Spectator
Feudo Montoni's Grillo (pronounced gree-yo), is best known for its versatility. It pairs perfectly with seafood (in particular, grilled octopus or prawns), grilled vegetables, and light pasta salads. This Sicilian white is loaded with refreshing flavors and is ideal for warm weather enjoyment.
And, in case you missed it earlier in the year, Feudo's red (Nero d'Avola), is another stunning Sicilian sipper that you can still order here.
This white and red combination will carry you through any summer alfresco dining.
They are both no-brainers to buy by the case.
