Andrew Will, Quilceda Creek, and Woodward Canyon. What do these Columbia Valley powerhouses have in common?
Champoux Vineyard.
Producing the finest fruit in Washington State, the Champoux Vineyard is owned and run by a consortium of partners: Andrew Will, Quilceda Creek, and Woodward Canyon.
Block 1, the oldest section, is reserved exclusively for Andrew Will's Sorella.
"Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend that’s up with the crème de la crème of the vintage. Cassis, black raspberries, toasted spice, candle wax and graphite notes all emerge from this tight, concentrated, fresh beauty that really needs 4-5 years of bottle age. A wine that gains depth with time in the glass, it has fine tannin, beautiful balance, and a classic, elegant style." Jeb Dunnuck
Sorella is a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%), Merlot (6%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (3%) and has a striking resemblance to Bordeaux's finest left bank reds.
And, there is a reason Bordeaux varietals thrive in the Columbia Valley of Washington; the terroir is quite similar to that of Bordeaux - even down to the latitude!
Sharpen your steak knives and decant for an hour.
Enjoy now and over the next decade.
