The 2019 is a finer vintage - and wine.  We would not be surprised to see the 2019 Castello di Ama grace the accolade lists of many critics again.  A late growing season and ideal conditions allowed grapes to stay on the vine longer with yielding tremendous flavor and depth.

At 500 feet above sea level, the clay, chalky soil is the heartbeat of this stunning Sangiovese.  The gorgeous texture and depth come from the terroir of the estate's historic vineyards, Bellavista, Casuccia, San Lorenzo, and Montebuoni vineyards.

The tannins are ripe and chewy, giving the wine a gorgeous grip throughout the entire experience.  

The tremendous vintage reveals itself in this wine; it is neither heavy nor extracted.  Rather, the fruit is wonderfully balanced and offers incredible depth.
