The 2019 Domaine Serene Yamhill Cuvee, Pinot Noir was a Merchant's Pick
Willamette Valley Pinot Noir All-Star!
Here's a little secret: eight Domaine Serene vineyards make up the "Yamhill Cuvee" bottling. Most people don't know that 5 of those 8 vineyards in the Yamhill Cuvee come from the highly prized Domaine Serene Evenstad cuvee. Which means, over 60% of the Yamhill bottling is sourced from former Top 100 fruit. Fruit that, by the way, comes from in this outstanding 2019 Oregon harvest.
Cherry plays the leading role in this cast of lush, red fruit. Mouthwatering notes of red raspberry, ripe cherry, lavender, and plum are followed by vanilla, spice, tobacco, slight orange peel, cola and exceptional balance.
This "nearly" Top 100 wine will pair perfectly with your Thanksgiving feast. You can also pair it with roasted chicken or lamb throughout the year. Feel free to enjoy alongside a cedar plank grilled salmon that has been marinated in chopped basil, red onions, garlic, a touch of salt, pepper and orange zest.
Oh yeah, add a little wild mushroom risotto as a side; you won't be disappointed.
Enjoy.
