The 2021 Giovanni Rosso, Langhe Nebbiolo, Piedmont was a Merchant's Pick
If you love Barolo and Barbaresco, this Nebbiolo is for you!
November 20, 2023
We love Langhe Nebbiolos. They are often considered the Pinot Noir of Piedmont for their rose petal and earthy notes.
There are few who make a better Langhe Nebbiolo than Giovanni Rosso.
Giovanni Rosso is known for his Baroli (at $100 - $500 per bottle). He is one of the largest owners of legendary Vigna Rionda, a stunning amphitheater vineyard in Barolo - and among the most sought-after reds within Serralunga, Barolo.
He is a traditional producer known for his bright, aromatic wines.
Young and vibrant, this has classic varietal aromas of red berries, rose, blue flowers, and tilled earth. Tense and savory, the palate offers wild cherry, star anise and a hint of orange zest alongside lithe tannins." Wine Enthusiast
Pair with any winter cuisine you can create in the kitchen (especially with mushrooms and truffles).
This gorgeous Piedmont red drinks like a Pinot Noir and can easily be enjoyed on Thanksgiving.
Feel free to be inspired. You can also add this beauty alongside grilled flank steak, chicken tikka, pear and goat cheese arugula salad.
It is one to order by the case and can be enjoyed now through 2028!
