We told our top importers to bring us their best $30-$50 Barolo to taste, and the results were shocking!

In a twist of fate, one importer pulled us aside to show us a Barbaresco that "we had to try!" (Barolo and Barbaresco are both Nebbiolo Piedmont reds).  

Sure enough, this Barbaresco was our favorite wine of the day. It's worth noting that we had some excellent Barolo that day!

Nebbiolo is often compared to Pinot Noir (red Burgundies in particular). Both tend to show classic cherry and rose petal notes. With its wide range of food pairings, the 2021 Guasti Barbaresco is a versatile choice for any meal, particularly mushroom dishes.  A well-crafted Nebbiolo, it evokes the elegance of a premier cru red Burgundy.  

Guasti has captured the vintage to a T!  A vintage that is being touted for its complexity and balance.   

Though you can age this red for a decade, it is gorgeous now, and we highly recommend enjoying some today.  We also suggest grabbing a few for Thanksgiving.
