For the last several months, we have been on a quest to find the best lip-smacking, mouth-watering, value Gruner Veltliner in Austria!

Gruners are known for their zippy, refreshing acidity, which makes them incredibly thirst-quenching on summer days.

During our quest, we encountered one specifically, "Landhaus Mayer," which checked every box:

Fresh grapefruit aromas, a hint of white pepper, racy and well balanced acidity on a lively body. Fine herbal flavors on the palate add depth to the citrus, chalk, and under-ripe melon notes. Mouthwatering and vibrant, it is versatile and food-friendly.

This gorgeous Gruner pairs beautifully with various summer dishes: salads, grilled vegetables, sushi, seafood, and even slightly spicy cuisine (like Thai or Mexican). Its peppery edge adds intrigue without overwhelming delicate flavors.
