June 27, 2023
The 2022 Three Sticks Price Family Pinot Noir is an outstanding release. Fans of great California Pinot Noir will want this vintage.
It took years and countless emails for EWM to procure Three Sticks winery wines.
Who owns Three Sticks? Bill Price, who also owns Kistler Vineyards.
And, who is the winemaker behind this ambrosia?
Bob Carbral, who worked at Williams Selyem from 1998 - 2014.
Like Kistler and Williams Selyem wines, Three Sticks is rapidly gaining a cult-like status.
Three Sticks is a name to know!
This release of Three Sticks vividly showcases the craftsmanship behind this gorgeous wine.
Luxurious, silky flavors of dark cherry, blueberry, kirsch, dark chocolate, dried spice, and mocha on entry. Earth, clove, and cedar lead to baking spice, orange, pomegranate, and strawberry. Textured and layered, the wine has impressive lift and vibrancy.
Well worth the years it took to source, this Pinot darling has won us over as one of California's finest. Those who have been fortunate enough to enjoy some in prior vintages have nearly all returned for more.
You may recall, the 2017 Three Stick won us over as one of our Top 5 Of 2019.
This release is another stunning Three Sticks "Price Family" and a wine that belongs among your Pinot Noir collection - especially if you are a fan of Kistler, Kosta Browne, and Williams Selyem.
Enjoy!
